Tonight, we threw a mini birthday surprise for Tita. 🥳 Inday, buddy and I bought a cake and lit it up just outside her room. 🎂 Then, we sang Happy Birthday to her. ♫♪ I noticed that Tita didn't seem that interested or delighted. 😔 At 57 years old, I guess birthdays might not hold the same specialness they did when she was younger. 😕

I also asked her what her target age was, and she said 75. It seems she doesn't want to live past that age. She had mentioned earlier that she doesn't want to be dependent on others. Hearing her lack of excitement made me feel a little sad.

I don't know much about her past, but I can imagine it's had a significant impact on her personality. Seeing her perspective on aging makes me want to avoid reaching that point of resignation. Instead, I'll try to apply the lessons I learned from Ikigai to find activities that keep life fulfilling as I get older.

Happy Birthday again, Tita!

I also noticed older people nowadays are addicted to their smartphones especially in facebook.
