Why People Travel: Unpacking the Reasons Behind Our Journeys
A Personal Journey Amidst Differences

(๑•̀ᗝ•́)૭ I had a little argument with my brother today because he belittled me for not being very eager to explore Baguio. ( 。 •̀ ᴖ •́ 。)
I explained 💬 to him that not everyone who travels plans to visit all the tourist destinations in a place. ✈️ Some people travel to relax and enjoy the ambiance, 😎 others for business or to meet people. 💼 There are many reasons people travel, not just to see every part of a location. 🤷🏻
As I live a slow, mindful life, the pressure from my brother to maximize travel time made me reflect more. I appreciate being able to see and contemplate what I experience, comparing it to life back home. This experience made me eager for more, confident that this won't be my last visit to this place if circumstances align.
Reflecting on what I saw, Baguio is very rich and vast, but I noticed they are heavily developing the mountains—cutting trees and building homes and infrastructure. This might lead to overpopulation, despite the cold mornings and the beauty of the place. I got sunburned trying to take photos in the sun, and now my arms are itching.
Overall, though, I find Baguio more beautiful than Iloilo City, it's like urbanized Aningalan, Antique.
