Every time I pass by the town center, 🏘️ I sometimes see Talino. 🧔🏽 I often wonder about his ability to roam around the town 🚶🏾 regardless of the weather—be it hot or cold. Taliño is mentally ill; 💭 he speaks gibberish while walking along the side of the street. 🗣️ Whenever I see him, I find myself comparing him not to mentally healthy people, 🤕 but to those who are physically unwell or disabled. 🤔

There is a trade-off between physical 💪 and mental 🧠 health. Finding a balance between the two is ideal, 🧘‍♂ yet many people tend to neglect one or the other. 💥 Sometimes, 🤞 we hope not to find ourselves in their position, realizing how differently society treats them 👀 compared to those who have the privileges we take for granted. 🤗

What if Talino talks to himself, hoping to one day be "normal" again?

Such a prospect would undoubtedly bring him happiness. It raises the question of how much control we have over our brains and our ability to maximize its potential. Yet, many of us fail to nourish and take good care of ourselves.

If only we could offer our privileges to those who would truly appreciate them, but unfortunately, we cannot.

These individuals we encounter serve as examples—reminders of what could happen to any of us. Reflecting on these encounters is a skill we often overlook but one that holds great value in learning from others. Unfortunately, only a few truly understand its significance.

People who continue to live amidst challenging conditions are not wasting their lives on trivial matters; they are here to teach us something. It is up to us to extract those lessons and reflect upon them.

As we consider aging and activity, Talino's daily presence challenges our perceptions. In the mental health paradox of our society, where physical health often takes precedence, Talino's resilience in enduring weather extremes prompts reflection on active aging and senior mental clarity. Despite his challenges, he demonstrates purpose in his daily walks—a lesson in finding meaningful activities even in later years.

For many seniors, the challenges of aging include maintaining productivity in retirement and preserving mental well-being. Talino's engagement with his surroundings highlights the importance of elderly engagement in society. His daily routines, though unconventional, offer insights into sustaining physical activeness and finding purpose amidst adversity.

In conclusion, encountering individuals like Talino reminds us to appreciate the privileges we often overlook. Their resilience and determination to engage with life teach us valuable lessons about aging, mental health, and the pursuit of meaningful activities in every stage of life.
