Why Blogs Don't Have a Comment Section
Just a random question today
After finishing Cal Newport's book "Digital Minimalism" I was inspired to write a reflective blog post about it, adding a new entry to my website. While setting up my code editor a sudden question sparked: why don't blogs have comments? I noticed that even famous bloggers like Mark Manson's website lack a comment section.
Curious, I searched online and came across Seth's Blog where he discusses how having comments could "permanently changes the way I write." This intrigued me; Seth is undoubtedly a legend with his straightforward writing style. This article of Seth is insightful about How to tell a great story
Here I am, writing for fun and using AI to improve my grammar. Ahaha!
According to one Stack Exchange Answer in his opinion moderation of comments can be a lot of work and if the nature of the blog is rather 'broadcasting' than 'discussing' comments may not make sense. Also blog is prone to spams, you can instead link your social media in your blog where readers could send you a message after reading your blog which makes sense. So I'm adding my whatsapp in this website. lol
